Minami Aoyama is a high end shopping area of Tokyo. Many fancy boutiques, restaurants etc are based there. On the other hands, great small independent shops can be found there. CIRCLE also recently moved to the area.
CIRCLE was founded in 2014 by a young entrepreneur and moved to Minami Aoyama in 2016. This fashion-item-focused ‘lifestyle store’ offers a selection of timeless and artisanal goods that will be loved and used for a long time, such as glasses, plates and kitchen items, in a homely atmosphere. One of its important criteria of its selection is “Made in Japan” and artisanal quality. The clothing is no exception, only a small range of very unique brands with craftsmanship, such as KUON, WORKERS, 1SIN as well as its house brand CIRCUS OF HAPPINESS, are carried in the shop.
Within its great offerings, we will be focusing on pants from KUON that utilize Japanese antique fabric for its clothing in the next series of articles.
