CIRCLE in Aoyama offers an amazing collection of products with Japanese craftsmanship. KUON is one of the brands that are selected by the shop’s owner who is very strict about quality of products and sprit of manufacturers.
KUON was founded in 2016 in Tokyo by Shinichiro Ishibashi who is a former pattern maker of kolor. This new brand is renowned for renovating vintage Japanese clothes or textiles called Boro that were hand-crafted by peasant farmers in the 17th to early 19th century. It appeals to fashionistas with its use of Japanese traditional techniques, such as Ryukyu indigo. Combining the fabric and techniques, it creates pants that are often one-off and no identicals exist.
In its first ever collection, the brand released this beautiful TAPERED PANTS. The silhouette is regular fit around the waist and thigh and tapered towards the three quarter bottom. Made in 100% cotton soft fabrication then undertook distressing processes in Kojima, Okayama. The best feature is the rare Boro textile patched at the rips on the right leg and corduroy on the left leg. Each pair has different damages with different Boro.
